My greetings and best wishes to all on this first day of a new year. A year that I face with optimism and maybe a smidgin of trepidation as to what may be in store But I face it with the knowledge that I have some good people behind me and my team. I am excited to know that Mrs. McCartney's Wines and Mrs. McCartney's Teas are both available at The King's Head Pub in Santa Monica, California. I have many great things to look forward to, including a trip to Hawaii to cash in our freebies at the Disney Resort, courtesy of Ellen DeGeneres. So look out 2017 - cover me I'm going in! My first exciting event will be a trip to The Palm Springs International Film Festival in January to attend a screening of Ethel and Ernest, the animated movie which includes a song written by my late husband, Jimmy Mac, which was originally recorded by Paul and Linda, together with Chet Atkins in Floyd Kramer under the name of "The Country Hams." It's called "Walking in the Park With Eloise." Paul also wrote the end title music, and both are on the soundtrack album. Brenda Blethyn and Jim Broadbent voice the two main characters. We will be staying at my beloved Ingleside Inn, for the first time since dear Mel Haber left us a couple of months ago. It will be a bitter sweet occasion but one we have to face.`
